      <image:caption>Nearly 18 years ago, I was diagnosed with postpartum depression while pregnant with my first son. I went to therapy and was intermittently on different medications, all while working as a bartender and server. I decided to go back to school to establish myself in a new profession, and as an attempt to heal my depression. I always had an interest in nutrition and dietetics and I knew that I wanted to be of service to the people in my community. After a five-year educational journey, I became a registered dietitian. Working in the field of dietetics made me realize that it is difficult to discuss a client’s diet without also considering other factors that contribute to their behaviors and lifestyle choices. I knew that to be truly effective, I would have to go deeper into the lives of my clients. My own habits began to change around this time. I began to exercise more frequently and to practice yoga daily. I recognized that my depression decreased as my spirituality grew. It was clear to me that training to become a yoga teacher and reiki master would enable me to better support my clients. I personally utilize yoga, reiki and other wellness tools to stay connected and grounded. These life changes have impacted my wellbeing in ways beyond what I thought possible and I hope to share them with you. I remain open and am in constant training to faithfully grow and evolve. My intention for Enliven Wellness is to serve in a way that allows for me to live out my true purpose, and form a connection where the client knows they are seen and heard. Namaste.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Why might a wellness coach be helpful in your life? A wellness coach considers their client holistically. While supporting my clients, I evaluate the whole person; mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical body are explored. As a wellness coach, I  will help you to discover the root of your issue and promote insight and clarity so you may experience heightened awareness and begin to heal. Additionally, as a wellness coach, I will assist in the development of wellness tools to help you form new habits and ideas which will lead to a healthier and more fulfilling life. Each session includes a one-hour visit, which is tailored to meet your needs. Dependent upon your goals, sessions may include reiki, nutrition counseling, meditation or light yoga.       <image:title>Services - yoga and meditation</image:title>
      <image:caption>Yoga is a practice that focuses on breath and movement.  The practice of yoga is both spiritual and physical. Yoga is called moving meditation by some. There are many different styles of yoga.  I teach gentle yoga, vinyasa, ashtanga , and yin yoga. I begin teaching practice with breathwork, which helps relax the body and brings you to awareness of your breath and your body. Each style of yoga has something magical to offer, and allows for more focus, less anxiety, and body and mind awareness. Yoga is my personal favorite physical exercise, and I often practice multiple styles, depending on what my body is calling for that day. It is always a great way to get the body ready for meditation. Meditation is the practice of allowing your thoughts to pass through without judgement. Often, you will practice coming back to the breath when your mind starts to wonder. You may use mantras, as well as mudras (purposeful hand positions) in your practice to support staying focused and to get deeper into your meditation. I like to think of meditation as a tool to bring me back “home,” to my truth and purpose.   I offer private sessions as well as small group sessions.
